Hello I am going to visit with my brother for a few days over in Chicago and how do u get to Chicago highway 401 west or east or the QEW?

  1. I live in Toronto and you can either take the QEW or the 401 West it really dosent matter, both of them will get you to the states.

    Personally if you want to save on gas I suggest you take the QEW West then merge on to the 403 West and then merge on to the 401 West. This will take you to highway 402 WEst which is the highway to enter the states.

  5. 401 West through Guelph, Kitchener, etc...  Be sure to cross the border at Sarnia.  (a) it's closer, and (b) the Windsor / Detroit crossing is unbearable.

    Get Tims before you cross onto the 402, once over the border, take 94 W all the way there!

  6. Actually, go east.  Once you hit the Atlantic Ocean start swimming.
