  1. sooory,

i dont no.but i think to get a better placements in big companies you have to gain a avg mark of 8.5/10 in every semister

  2. Aggregate is always a weighted average, this means, if you have 90% in 1st semester where total marks was out of 800, and 80% in 2nd semester, where total marks was out of 1000, then aggregate is NOT 85%. So simply dont add all percentages and divide by number of semesters.

You have to take weighted average: For example aggregate of 8 semesters is below:

    Total maximum marks:

    800 (1st sem) + 1000 (2nd sem) +800 (3rd sem) + 1000 (4th sem) +800 (5th sem) + 1000 (6th sem) +800 (7th sem) + 1000 (8th sem) = 7200.

    Total marks obtained by you:

    720 (1st sem) + 800 (2nd sem) +650 (3rd sem) + 750 (4th sem) +625 (5th sem) + 850 (6th sem) + 680 (7th sem) + 875 (8th sem) = 5950

    So aggregate = (5950/7200) x 100 = 82.64 %

This is how university ranks are also decided.
