  4. im so sorry. he looked like a great horse. i cant imagine what that would be like for you. i can tell you just from how you've posted all these questions and videos that he was very well taken care of and that he had the best life you could give him. i know that this is the most painfull part of being with horses, but that feeling shows that you loved him when he was here, and that is all that matters. i am sorry for your loss. i hope you feel better soon.

  5. thats so sad that your horse had to be put down.... I cry just thinking of my horse being put down..... Its wonderful that he had you in his last ten years of his life! rather than him being abused.....

  6. {{{{huggs}}}}} so sorry for your loss and having to deal with such a situation.  I hope you find peace in knowing that it was because you loved him so much that you had to make a courageous decision. It was obvious seeing him , that you acted out of respect and love and not selfishness.

Knowing that he had 10  years of the good life should always be in your loving memories as I'm sure it is in his..

    Take care of yourself.

  7. sad good looking guy

  8. That's hard.  I've done it myself, far too many times, and it always, always, always hurts.

He was in FANTASTIC condition for a horse of that age!  Good weight, good coat, interacting, surrounded by people he loved and nibbling some good fresh grass.  And yet, it's perfectly clear, even in your short video, why you were putting him down.  It was time.

I hope you can take comfort in knowing that you gave him the best years of his life, and he couldn't have had a better place until the time came when it was right to release him from his pain and weakness.

It takes strength to do that.  Good for you.  And...  I'm really sorry.

  9. :( im so sorry lets me go dry my eyes

  10. Im sorry. He is beautiful and Im so sorry for your loss. I can relate. My leased pony was put down last year and I was devestated. Today I found out that a horse in my barn will be put down soon too. So I can relate to how you are feeling.
