  1. Yes, because those special skills become a part of that company's assets when they hire you.  Picture the people that want to hire you and this other person.  This other person only put their required skills, but you put your "special skills".   They look at the other guy's first.  They say: "Well, this person has X X X X and X skills that we're looking for... Oh but wait a second, this next person has X X X X X, but they also have Y and Y.  That could become handy for another project that we're thinking of... Let's hire them instead."  See my point?


  2. Yes, I would.  It shows them you are well-rounded and they may consult you if they need help with something outside of your job responsibilities.

  3. I always do just in case they have another position open up that my other skills may be more suited for.
