To get better braking performance, why cant cars just make BIGGER brakes?

Well there's a few reasons why cars don't come with large brakes:

1) Cost consuming

2) Leaves less space for wheel clearance, most brakes take up a large amount of space behind the wheel, going any bigger they would hit the actual rim.

3) Bigger brakes = Bigger tires. Another unnecessary cost unless you have an SUV, where big brakes are actually needed.

4) No real demand - For most people stock brakes are fine. Why make it any bigger than it is? my stock brakes on all my cars are perfect, you don't need high performance brakes unless you have a car with some serious horsepower.
