  1. Easier, and less smelly, to use powdered laundry detergent. Pour onto the stain and then moisten. Let sit and hour or so and then scrub.

  2. Use pine oil like pine-sol. It also works well with motor oil spills! And isn't flammable either! Just pour it on, rub it in with broom or mop. Then rinse clean!

  3. I like working smart not hard and I've dealt with concrete spills consisting of peanut oil , transmission fluid to motor oil.  The only thing I do it to sprinkle a little dry concrete mix, no more than a 1/4" thick and no larger than the grease spot itself.  After about a day, sweep up the concrete mix and discard.  Concrete mix can be purchased at any hardware or home center and costs about $5.00 for enough to absorb grease spills for 2 years.

  4. 409 Glass and Surface (purple) works on granite to remove cooking grease stain.  Here is how it do it: take a paper towel much bigger than the stain, lay the towel over the stain, soak the paper towel with 409 purple, get it full, cover with plastic wrap bigger than the paper towel, tape the perimeter  down, leave no part of the plastic wrap un-taped, wait 3 or 4 days until all 409 purple has evaporated and remove the plastic and paper.  If the spot isn't totally gone, repeat.
