To get this 'emo' haircut, what should I do/tell my barber?

I figured that I need to let my hair grow out but besides that what should I do/tell my barber?

I would bring the pic, && if they don't suck they should be able to cut it by looking at it.

first of all print out the pictures, and bring them to your barber he should know how you want it cut, then you will need to invest in a flat iron, may i suggest the chi? its AMAZING i got 1 and i can straighten my hair in less than 20 mins and my hair is past my b*****s, ALSO no matter what iron you get MAKE sure its ceraminc, this will stop make sure your hair doesnt fry! ALSO dont buy a chi off of ebay, their have been many counterfit chis lately that are very low quality and are not ceramic plus if you ever have trouble the warrinty may come in handy! If you want that kind of hair. EXACTLY. Straighten it. Simple. that's all you need  to do. No haircut well maybe the sideburns.

Your not the type that looks emo.. So yeah. My haircut people tell me looks like emo. In my opinion it doesn't. My haircuts always suck.

Your hair seems kind of thick for that cut, it might not look just like that. Even so, the best idea to bring the picture to your barber and if you don't have a specific person you go to, I would go to someone young so that they are more up on the current styles. You could always tell the barber you want really choppy short layers and choppy bangs.

Take the pictures to your barber. (S)he should be able to relicate the cut from the picture, or a close version depending on your hair. I always take an actual picture of what I want; it helps them a lot and ensures you get what you want.

I don't think your barbers gonna understand what you mean if you tell him ''emo haircut". Just print out the picture of the hair style you want and ask if he or she can make your hair like that or something very similar.
