To go to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, how old do you have to be to stay in a resort alone?

This means two 16 year olds want to go to the Dominican Republic. If they are 16, can they book a hotel and go just the two of them with no one else?

Sorry... but no hotel in the WORLD is going to rent a room to two 16 year olds.  You have absolutely NO IDEA just how much trouble you can get into in the D.R. at your age, but the hotels DO... and they won't rent a room to you.
