my husband and i are debating on having children. we don't want our marriage to suffer from the strain of having children. what are the pros and cons of kids? i am 30 years old and am afraid that if we wait and wait it will be too late. is this something i should just know? is it an instinct? will i feel it in my gut? or should we just try and see what happens?

  1. Having children is a wonderful gift to everyone.  I have seen many couples and some are my friends who want to have a baby.  But being a parent is tough job, it requires responsibilities but you have a feeling of satisfaction and contentment.  You're life would be change for good for having a child.

Remember, you're not getting any younger, so I think it's better to have a child than nothing.  When you are old, there's someone who can take care of you.

  2. just let it happen

  3. Well, trying to have kids and seeing what happens is like jumping out of a window off a 30 story building and seeing if you are going to die! If you don't know if you want kids or not, stay on the BC.

Don;t look at our pros and cons, you need to make your own pros and cons list like we did. I can't remember all the cons (there were like 30 of them ranging from "no more sleeping in" to " the scream of a baby makes me run as far away as possible"). I do remember the only 2 pros though: See if we can make red hair (my hubby's a red head, and I have red hair in my family) and it'll get my in-laws off my back. We very quickly realized that neither of those (in our opinions) were very good reasons to have a kid.

The fact of the matter is, we are happy with the way things are. Neither of us feels the urge to have one (really, neither of us likes them), and we are happy. So, no kids for us. I had my tubes tied:) Good luck in whatever you choose!

  4. When childless people reached their 30s, its better if they never have children because it does strain the relationship for the most part. If people are childfree, they have more life and travel opportunities.
