  1. The negative terminal of the battery will work, of course, but you can also use metal parts on the motor, (assuming its electric start).  You can also use the same ground that is used for any light, or any other electrical accessory.

  2. gmc is indeed correct. look for the fuse block and find out which side is ground. ps keep it away from water especially salt water your radio wont last all but 2 trips out

  3. to the black

  4. look under the dash most good boatbuilders provide a grounding strip this can be used for a multitude of wireing applications. you can also look were the ground goes from any of the other accessories. I would refrain from using a motor ground or the motor harness as you may have engine background noise in the radio! just make sure that you fuse the radio when installing!

  5. battery

  6. when I put the stereo on my boat I ran the wires from my console to the stereo , inside the the console is a ground terminal, I then ran the hot from my interior light switch, now I can turn the radio on and off from my console, my stereo is inside the cabin, to far for my hands, then I found a continuous hot lead for the clock and memory.

works out very well because the interior lights have on off switches so only the stereo is on.

  7. gmc is correct
