  1. I guess it depends on what your report is actually about. If it's just what is the plot, then you'd be able to do it well by spark notes. But if it's something more in depth and you have to analyze the key themes and give examples, then I really think you should read the book.

    It's not a bad book. A bit hard to get into. I had to read it and do a few assignments about it for year 10, but after I got past the boring introduction I got into it.

    And the movie was pretty good too. Gregory Peck was an awesome Atticus.


  2. You probably could, but it is a good book and well worth reading.

    Also, it comes on TV a lot too. You may want to watch it.

    Maybe there's a reason your teacher thinks you should read it?

    If you can switch your report to LOTR, I know a website that gives a great detailed summary of it. The movies really mess it up...
