A recent survey has shown that the percentage of those living in poverty has not changed in over 30 years the middle class is getting smaller but the wealthy are increasing percentage wise....Now here is my question it will require a little logic the middle class is dwindling since those living in poverty are not increasing, but the wealthy are what conclusion can you come to and shouldn't you liberals be please with this trend.

  1. Survey? Hardly sounds like hard facts.

Last I heard, in the past 8 years, the income of the middle class in the US has been stagnate, but the incomes of the rich have been growing like crazy. Nearly all the benefits of the economic gains of the past 8 years have gone to the top 10% of the wealthiest in the nation.

One has to ask, if republican policies that do grow the economy leave all the benefits to only the top 10% of the richest, why would anyone in the other 90% of the population vote republican?

  2. A recent study shows that there are blue monkeys that eat diamonds while living under the surface of mars in an air pocket on a glacier.  You don't believe me?  I need a source you say?

  3. Funny that, the world bank claims the exact opposite.

By the way... Did you ever spare a thought to the fact that there have been liberal presidents over the last 30 years too?... so I don't see how your argument is relevant, genuine or valid.

At least I´ll cite a genuine source.

  4. Where is this survey?  These surveyors usually don't want to question people in places where they are living in abstract poverty. lol

  5. I don't see anything cited for reference.

We still have over 90% of the wealth owned by 1% of the population.

What's THAT tell you?  We are being squeezed by corporations that have political support.  They can afford to bribe legislators that pass the legislation that send jobs overseas and makes it harder for anyone to make a living on their own.  How many mom and pop gas stations and grocery stores do you see these days?

No.  I am not pleased.  This is class warfare at its worst.

  6. Where is this 'recent survey' of which you speak? Why not source it if you want legitimate comments? Obviously there are many factors involved, but--in general, NO--the middle class is not becoming more wealthy and moving to the upper class. http://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/1985/03/art1...

  7. I agree that over all the number of people pulling themselves out of poverty and reaching towards the upper middle class lifestyle is increasing.  It would be interesting to see how many people in poverty have been there for most of their lives, I think that it would be a small number and be mainly the disabled and the uneducated.

  8. Your question also requires a little proper grammar and punctuation.

  9. My uncle is a total hypocrite... He is as far Left as you can get without leaving the country and screams about "War for Oil" yet works for a company that takes oil and makes plastics that are meant to replace cloth in personal hygiene products.

Between him and his wife... They are multimillionaires yet give nothing to charity and do nothing but talk about the inequities of the wealthy republicans squeezing the poor, downtrodden minorities..

They have lost all sight of reality...

All I see are brainwashed minorities voting dem because of the promise that they will be lifted out of poverty on the backs of the taxpayer... which STILL hasn't happened even after the dem's took majority control...

And the limousine liberals that have millions of dollars yet still scream about how much they need to pay in taxes out one side of their mouth while screaming about the rich republicans out of the other...

I have yet to meet a Democrat or Liberal that is not a blatant hypocrite...

I'm middle ground so I think both sides are NUTS but it makes me physically ill to sit back and listen to the Lib's that are driving $100,000.00 cars to their multimillion dollar homes talk about how hard it is to be a poor black person in America today...

  10. I've noticed that some of the local drug dealers have moved up a few rungs. Nice homes, and cars most rich folks would never think of buying. Not any reason a person with a little motivation can't reach their American dream. Most of these people did it while living on welfare and investing a part of their entitlements in their business. Some of their employees don't look to be doing that well, but you just never know.  Opportunity for them may be just around the next corner, or maybe a couple blocks over.
