  1. if its letter and you want to write to someone just put stamp on it and go put in mailbox if you think its heavier then normal then postoffice. but other then that it isn't any different from state to state.

  2. nope just put a normal stamp on it ( i think its 41 or 42 cents now) on it and stick it in yer box.

  3. Since terrorism has become a way of life, you can drop a box in the mailbox if it is certain size, but after you exceed the limit, you have to go into the post office and mail it in person.  Most mailboxes have a notice on them stating what that size is.  The problem with mailing something without having it weighed is you take the risk of having insufficient postage on it.

  4. You have to go to a post office. And you have to put an extra stamp. The post prices in some states are higher than others. You can't be too careful.

  5. Just drop it in the mailbox unless it's a package.

  6. Whether it is to your neighbor across the street or in another state, you just put on current first class postage and put it in any mailbox.  We have one just a few blocks away in a Dollar General parking lot.

The post offices around here have outside mail boxes in their parking lots so you don't even have to go into the building.

If you want to go inside the post office building, there is usually a slot on the wall before you enter the sales area.  Or you can hand it to an employee behind the counter.

You can put it in the mailbox that goes with your house.  Some people don't do this if they are mailing checks to pay bills because sometimes people steal out of mailboxes that are open like that.

  7. anyyy

  8. The answer depends on the size of the piece of mail you're shipping off to another state.

If it's a normal piece of mail, like a greeting card, or something that fits in a standard sized envelope, like a no. 10 or 3 5/8 x 6 1/2 envelopes, just put a 42 cent stamp on it and drop it in a mail box. No need to go to the post office then.

Large packages or letters must be taken to the post office, tho.

  9. No just stick a stamp (which ever price one is now) and toss it in a mail box or give it to your postal carrier!

  10. depending on what you're mailing. if it's just a letter puts some stamps on it and send it off. if it's a parcel you'll have to go and get it weighed to find out the cost of postage, and they usually just post it for you afterwards...

  11. If it is just letters, then all you need to do is put a stamp on them and put them in your mail box. But if it is anything bigger than an average sized letter (they add more postage) or if it is a package, then yes, you would need to take it to the post office so they can weigh it and measure it.

This applies to anywhere in the continental USA, not including Hawaii & Alaska. It also does not include Canada or Mexico.

  12. stick it in your mailbox.  it doesn't matter where it is going.

  13. just go to mail box
