I thought Hilary Clinton was going to be Obama's running mate but she seems to have vanished off the scene. We don't hear anything about her over here in OZ anymore

  1. She should be speaking tonight. Hope she is over her snit about losing. We can't all win, even if we do come close.

  2. Obama picked Joe Biden as his V.P. and Hillary is campaigning for them....l think!!!!  But, who knows she may be home chewing on Bill's a** and blaming him for his promiscuous ways!!!  I really don't think he wanted her to be president.....you know he didn't want to be the "First Man"!!!!

  3. Sen. Clinton is still alive and well, she gave an excellent speech at the Democratic Convention today.  She's looking really good too.  Clinton said some seriously negative things about Obama during the primary race, things that cannot suddenly be ignored, which pretty much cut her out of being considered for vice pres. for Obama.  Her advisers and handlers were a poor bunch of folks who gave her wreckless and bad guidance.  Probably if she'd refrained from denigrating Obama, she stood a really good chance of being picked for vp but she blew it.  It's sad because they would have been a dynamic team, very strong, very smart.  I don't know how content Clinton would have stayed being only vp though, don't know if she could have backed down, again, if she were asked to (she had to do that when she was first lady).  But maybe she'll be offered some wonderful cabinet job.

  4. He is to intelligent to make that kind of horrific mistake.  I wish Michelle hadn't praised Hilary in her speech last night that was the only thing I didn't like about her speech

  5. i believe Hillary will be back in 8 years, she is an extremely strong woman.  she will probably stay in politics and work on 'image'

  6. No offence, but you may have thought wrong...that's not how it works in America...especially with the Dem's...they pride themselves on being able to stand alone.  If they find they are unable to stand alone, it's RARE that they will hold hands with the opposite s*x if the other person is more powerful or better known than they are.

I doubt Obama could possibly allow himself to have a well known white woman (with prior White House experience) as his running mate without looking like a second class citizen...so he picked the next best thing...a white male with political ties that can advance the minority agenda without having the feminist perspective or past Presidential affiliations get in his way.

America is in deep do-do if the Dem's win this election.  I was once a Democrat & I'm now a Republican.  We don't need any more of the Kennedy Agenda that fuels the fires of hatred by forcing people into filling a racial & cultural quota in order to get funding for the latest "cause of the week"!  That's only my personal opinion & my answer to the question as I happen to understand it!

  7. I'm just glad  she is not on the ticket.

  8. Hilary is to the extreme political left, she militant about it, and she has a lust for power that is scary. Because of this her appeal to mainstream America is ... shall we say... a bit short. I think the Dems recognized this and so did Obama. Obama is trying to attract more people in the middle and she couldn't help with that. I think thats really what its about.

  9. I think Obama felt Hilary was too strong a person for his running mate. He needs someone with a lower key personality that won't try to run over him. Too, Bill Clinton is popular with the American people, so he would feel overpowered by these two being in the White House with him.     Poppy
