To my fellow Christians...a question...?

Question

What is it that you wish that your church would do, do more of etc. Maybe it's more study classes, more insightful sermons - you name it - literally. Tell me - in what area is your church lacking? What would you like to see you area church(es) do? The question is vague - in return I'm expecting answers of many different varieties. Thanks!

Well....I haven't had too much luck with the churches in my area, or around town for that matter.  I am a 100% American Indian, so I don't fit in with the Mexicans, the whites, the blacks or the orientals, and I am NOT trying to be a bigot here, it's the truth.  I do have long hair like my brothers and Bear tattoos on my arms and, I guess, alot of silver and torquoise jewelry, I'm not sure exactly.  Still, no one ever came up to my Wife and I to say hello, or welcome, or anything.  They just walked past me and stared, of course this made me feel a little wierd.

After all, this is my Land, my Home, my Ancestors have been here for generations.  So.....I've never been back.

    I guess I'm saying that all people need to be less racist, especially in church.  I wore my finest, my Family necklace and everything that I know that is like "Sunday-go-to-meeting", I mean I tried hard here.  I don't fully understand,except for that there just aren't many Indians in San Antonio, I don't know.

Right at this point i am between Churches , so really i have no comment except to say my last Church was not strong on deep bible study.

The church that I know needs to care about pleasing God more. Instead, they are into their lives so much that they only have enough care for their lives. There is no room for God's cares.

I have a great church.  The only thing I have ever felt lacking was some type of leadership program for the boys--especially the fatherless ones, like my own.

I have a great church as well. It's a Home Fellowship where the ppl are focusing on What Would Love Do as opposed to any condemnation. It's a great thing.

to help out those in the congregation that have needs as the early church did. They took care of their own.

i would like the church to go out more to the streets,you know reach out to the needy,the homeless,the drug addict,the rape victims,etc.i mean i would like to see the church being more like CHRIST.
