  1. I wouldn't know a christian music group, if it bit my butt.

  2. Maybe Pedro the Lion or the Danielson family or some other random acts on Tooth and Nail records, but in general, no.

  3. I really like Tim Hughes. I sometimes still listen to Hillsongs... and every now and again I'll break out my gospel. I still love my gospel.

  4. I am a Christian and there arent any Christian rock or hiphop groups I like.

  5. No, but Mahalia Jackson was a great gospel singer and Elvis could turn out a fine rendition at times.

  6. i do not know the religious affiliation of bands i like, seems a little stalkish of me

  7. I like some of the songs from Casting Crowns.  And I do like Sandi Patti & Cece Winans.  Amazing voices those two.  I also like some of Amy Grant's stuff.

  8. The choral music of the Russian Orthodox church is gorgeous.

    For rock, I like Creed.

  9. Mercy Me used to be a favorite of mine. I listen to Demon Hunter on occasion now. Skillet (spelling?) was another one.

  10. As a matter of fact, I'm a huge fan of the song "Spirit in the Sky", by Norm Greenbaum....:

EDIT: Waitaminit -- Sixpence None the Richer is a Christian group?!?!  The one hit they had was about two girls in love with each other...:

  11. I don't care what a person's religion is if they make good music.

What I can't stand is those preaching lyrics, they make me want to be sick.

  12. Sixpence None the Richer.

...but they weren't "Christian enough" for some Christian music people.

    Edit: Yup, Rev. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixpence_No...

"Sixpence None the Richer (Shorter: Sixpence N.T.R.) is a Grammy-nominated American Christian pop/rock band that formed in New Braunfels, Texas, eventually settling in Nashville, Tennessee. The name of the band is inspired by a passage in writer C. S. Lewis's Mere Christianity."

Compare: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/sixpencen... with some of the silly newer Christian lyrics.

  13. No except for an exceptional single here or there, for the most part I don't like being preached to in my music.

Jars of Clay - Flood... that about covers it.  Can't think of any others...

  14. One of my favorites is not really all that well known. The band is called Righteous. They always play at this camp my best friend used to drag me to over the summer. They also played a few other concerts around the country. I haven't spoken with Matt and Joe in ages though. I don't even know if the band still together. But anyway, I also like Mercy Me and the guy who sings "On Eagles Wings." (don't know his name.) Oh, and Black Sabbath. Can't forget Black Sabbath. Been a huge fan of them ever since I was a kid. And for those ignoramuses whom I know will insist that Black Sabbath is not Christian, take a look at their lyrics.
