i have just turned 19 and my boyfriend moved in with me and my parents a few years ago. our room is pink as thats the colour i have always had it. i like having a very girly room and although my boyfriend would prefer it more boyish he doesnt mind that much. i hate the thought of growing up so have said i would like to keep a babyish room for as long as possible and when we move into a house of our own (which we are saving to do) then we can make the decitions together and make it more grown up. is this silly and am i being selfish?

  1. ahaha i agree with you, no point in changing your current room.

And when your in your own house, you could paint it a colour that you both LOVE!

    all the best, x

  2. yes and yes. you're far too old for a pink room for little girls. the poor guy is going to start having issues. if you're not mature enough to move on and grow up, you're not mature enough to have a boyfriend let alone save up to live together. why not just rent an apartment rather than having your boyfriend move into your parents home...thats so wrong and very immature and irresponsible. definitely not a sure sign you're willing to grow up, move on, and become an independent woman.

  3. That was your childhood room so make him understand that it means alot to you.Let him decorate your room when you move in to your own place. The room at your parents is a room for you to go to when you want to remember your good times as a child and just be a kid again.

  4. No. I wouldn't bother changing your parents house.

I would just say, when you move into your own place, that you are open to changing the styles.

    :)

  5. as long as your boyfriend does not mind, its OK, when you get your place together, make sure you do make the decisions about colour together. i am in my 50s and i still like pink, although i do not have my place decorated in it.............yet...LOL

  6. Its your room hunni you keep it exactly how you like :)

why force yourself to grow up unnecessarily....it will happen soon enough anyway!

  7. not silly no. i wud love to have a pink room, dont think my husband wud tho! pink doesn't have to be baby-ish. why not try painting 3 walls cream and having a pink feature wall, then u can have cream and pink accent colors and accessories?

  8. I wouldnt change my room! I love pink & Ive allways wanted my room hotpink (Which Im fixng to do soonish) My fiancee lives with me & my grandmother & doesnt like that idea, so Im jsut going to surprize him. =)

  9. go for a colour that goes in between pink and blue,That way u and your boyfriendcan agree

  10. It's totally okay to want to keep a part of your life child-like.

Talk to him about it and see how he feels about it.

I'm sure he'll be fine about it :)

  11. u r not selfish it's your house
