Would regular spray paint work, then sharpie markers on top of that? Do I need to do any sanding or sealing with this? I have a used board I got, its a nice board but ugly as sin. Thanks!!

  1. Make sure that the surface of the board is free of wax and really clean. You don't want uneven color. Fine sanding the surface would help ink or paint adhere to the surface better too.

After sanding it (the finer the grit the smoother the finish) use some waterbased or proof color markers. Markers 4-U, Inc. or http://www.drewbrophy.com/sharpie_paint_...

  2. spray paint and sharpies will work fine.  a light sanding to provide a rough surface for it to adhere to will make it last longer.  but doesnt really matter.  anything works.  i recommend paint pens (markers).  they work for me.

  3. personally I would sand the board down, then  make sure all the fibreglass dust is removed from the top of the board (perhaps hose the board down) then when its dry and clean spray a thin coat of primer on the board.

then use car paint for the paint layer, do two layers then when it is dry, gloss the board with car gloss (something like autoglym)

gloss it 3 or 4 times

    wax up

    and hit the surf
