To play the sims 2 sequels do you need the first version of the sims 2?

I know for the regular sims to play like sims vacation or something like that you need the original sims to play.. Is sims 2 the same?

Yes it is the same. If you have any sims 2 game and you want another

sims 2 sequal, you MUST have sims 2. That is the same for regular sims, and the sims 3 coming out. Hope I helped :)

You mean expansion packs. Sequel to Sims 2 is Sims 3 (not out yet).

And of course expansion packs require the original...

Yes, you need the base game to play the other expansion pack games, if you mean. The expansion packs are add-ons, and it adds more stuffs like cloths, interactions, and some new neighborhood, on the base games, not the EPs.

you need the original sims 2 game to run any of the expansion or stuff packs. just the same as the sims 1
