To prevent a problem, can I ask my credit card company for a new card number?

I have no problems with my credit card companies nor with any unauthorized charges, would like a completely new number for piece of mind to prevent fraud.

Yes, I do it more then once  a year.   They will not care at all.

just tell them u feel your credit card number may have been compromised and you would like a new card issued with diff number
