  1. i dont think so u need special ocean salt from a fish store, and u need a hydrometer to measure the salt levels. taking care of salt water fish isnt easy

  2. NO....as table salt does not have the same properties natural sea salt has.also table salt is full of potassium isn't it? which wouldn't be good for the fishy's.

  3. no...go to a saltwater fish tank supply store for a full explanation...

  4. no you have to use special salt water not our normal salt

  5. NO. This is what you should do:

    * Save as much of the water you can where you got the fish from and slowly acclimatize the fish to the MARINE SALT that you can purchase in your local fish store.

You do not want to stress the fish out by a sudden change in your water conditions.

For best chances of survival SLOW.

When you make the water changes just take out 10% and add the marine salt water to the original water.

Your fish will love you for not shocking them!

    GOOD LUCK!

(I am thinking you caught the fish in the ocean)

  6. No, Sea salt is not pure, were table salt is; and your fish need the minerals in the sea salt to live. What I read you have some good answers so use them!

  7. no, there are certain salts you can get from the store. also special lights. you got to test the water with the PH strips. its alot of work.
