  1. Yes you need the adapter to plug into the backof it, the new slims have it built in. You will not need a wireless router, but you will have to run an ethernet cord to plug it in. You cannot run the PS2 wirelessly, not unless you want to buy a wireless ethernet cable, it has no wifi.

  2. dude fat ps2s are easy to set up better if u can find a wall plug though its faster and make sure u have the cd to hook it up

  3. Some USB wireless routers worth with the PS2, but you'll have to do research to see which ones.

The network adapter is only required for wired Ethernet networking. There is also a Sony branded PS2 wireless adapter that works, which would be the easiest route.

  4. Yes

  5. You need a wireless connection with a router.  If you have that all you need is the network adapter with an ethernet cable to connect it.  Have wireless internet to your PS2 costs more cuz i think you need a specific network adapter that allows wireless

  6. All you need is a ethernet cord.. you can get one at RadioShack or BestBuy

Look at your router.. in the back are holes that one end of the ethernet cord fits into.. then connect the other end in to the back of your PS2 and your good to go

  7. The wireless adapter sends the signal and the wireless router picks up the signal and connects the PS2 to the Internet. A wireless"receiver" is unnecessary.
