  1. to stay warmer, put it on top, unless you are in the snow or permafrost, in which case you are going to freeze your bun's off no matter what you do....

  2. no id just get another blanket.

  3. You did'nt say anything about if you were sleeping outside or not.In the house use an electric blanket.Out sideYou can get a wool blanket they always keep you warm. Then lay inside the sleeping bag.Hey dude are you in Alaska or something? Its 85 and humid around here don't ya think its a bit warm?

  4. that depends on what's underneath you.

for example, some water beds are not heated.

in which case, water will absorb more heat than the air above.

and you'll want the bag underneath you.

however, if the air above you will absorb more heat than whatever is under you, then you want the bag on top of you.

  5. That really depends on the weather, and what you are sleeping on, and when you are sleeping.

if you are sleeping on a bed, at night, inside, then you need to put the sleeping bag over you.

if you are sleeping outside on the ground, obviously you need to have something under you to protect you from the moisture in the ground as well as something over you to protect you from the cold air.

  6. It was 95 degrees and muggy here today.   Reading about sleeping under a sleeping bag sounds miserable right now.

  7. camped out in Derbyshire this weekend.Despite the high temperature the ground felt cool and damp.Found that using a foam sleepmat under my s/bag made a big difference.
