I have recently been thinking about purchasing a small oven that sits on the counter top instead of using the one in the apartment. It is only my fiance and I, so instead of preheating the big bulky oven to 400 degrees wouldnt I save money to just buy a $40 small one and preheat that to 400 degrees? Or am i totally off the boat here?

  1. A smaller oven would use a smaller heating element to heat up therefore would cost you less how much would depend on the efficiency of the oven energy ratings would be a good way to compare.

  2. yes it is the green way now.

and a bonus if you read the box before you buy you will find that they or most will come with a cook book.

the small oven will pay for its self in no time at all.

  3. My husband and I bought a small convection oven for about $65 a couple of years ago for the very same reason and we LOVE it. It cooks faster than a regular oven, uses less energy and I think works better all the way around. A convection oven blows the hot air around in the oven, causing things to cook much faster, so be sure to adjust your cooking time accordingly...
