Hi there, Just wondering what you did in order to not get any stretch marks, which lotions or body butters have you used? Or anything else that you used, and how many times did you use it. Can you just tell me your exact regime. How big did you get with your pregnancy, is there a history of stretch marks in your mother or sisters? Thank you so much!

  1. Whether you get get stretch marks and how many you get depends on your skin and its elasticity.  If you are prone to them you will get them during pregnancy regardless of what you slather on your belly.

I have two kids and have plenty.  My mother had three kids and has only one.  I don't have any sisters.  I have my fathers skin type....

  2. i used lots of lotion with my pregnancies. i didn't get any stretch marks and i had good sized babies. now...if only i can get rid of the excess flab...

  3. I don't understand stretch marks. I have them on my b*****s and hips from when I was 13 and grew a lot over the summer. I gained 50 pounds with all three of my children and did not get one during pregnancy. I did not do any thing to prevent them.

  4. I am 31 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and I have no stretch marks.  I use the equate (walmart brand) concentrated baby oil gel with aloe vera and vitamin E everyday when I get out of the shower and if my belly ever starts itching.  I started at the very beginning with both pregnancies to condition my skin to stretch.  I know my mother and aunt have stretch marks, but I don't have any sisters.  COngrats on your pregnancy and good luck!

  5. Hi,

I used to have pretty bad stretch marks and red scars around my belly region ever since I gave birth to my three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but unfortunately it didn't seem to work too well. My Doctor had even suggested that I go for a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. It took a number of weeks but my stretch marks soon faded away. You can read the lady's article at the link below.

  6. I only got a tiny few around my belly button at 37 weeks. I didn't do a darn thing except use Tummy Butter. Not for stretch marks, though, but for the itchiness and dryness.

If you're going to get stretch marks then you're going to get them. They are hereditary so if your mother had them then chances are you will too. There are no creams or lotions that are quick fixes and nothing will prevent you from getting them. They'll fade after pregnancy but won't go away completely.

  7. I used a TON of lotions and oils to prevent stretch marks (and I am prone to them, I have them on my upper legs/hip area from when I went through growth spurts as a teenager).  One of the best lotions I used was by Clarin's specifically for stretch marks.  I would put it on every morning after my shower from my 3rd month on.  Also, I would use regular lotion or body oil in the evening and did not get one stretch mark from my pregnancy!!

  8. I got two stretch marks low on my abdomen when my first 9lb13oz baby MOOSE, oh I mean BOY dropped the last week of my pregnancy. With the next 3 I didn't get anymore. All through my pregnancies I took 10,000 IU daily of Vitamin E for skin elasticity as well as a GOOD Multi Vitamin and Calcium from the health food store (not just Prenatal Vitamins) this is what helped me carry 4 healthy babies ranging in size from 6lbs 5oz  To 10lbs 5oz. without stretch marks ANYWHERE~~Aloha~~And Good Luck~~

  9. I found the solution was to not use being pregnant as an excuse for being a big fat pig. The baby isn't in your ***, so why is that getting bigger too?

  10. it all depends on your skin! it has NOTHING to do with creams, lotions, olive oil... NONE of those things will prevent them. my mom got them, so i plastered all of the above on my belly EVERY day and i still got a massive amount of stretch marks! so, don't waste your money and just consider them your "battle scars" and how it took you nine months out of your life to get them! you get a baby out of the deal, not bad!

  11. i didn't get any on my stomach with the first pregnacy...but my butt and b***s did. the second and third i got stretch marks on my stomach. i used lotions but come to find out there really isn't anything you can do for it. you get the stretch marks caues your skin can't grow fast enough...i think pretty much the only way would to have them removed by surgery, or lazer. but they will fade with time.

  12. I didn't get any stretch marks on my tummy but I did get them else where--hips, b*****s, some light ones on thighs and calves.  I already had prenatal vitamins, so the first thing I bought when I found out I was pregnant was the cream!  I put Palmer's stretch mark cream on after every shower.  I gained 65 lbs when I was pregnant and delivered a healthy 8 lb 8 oz baby girl.  I think my mum and sis both have stretch marks but I do not know for certain.  Hope I helped!
