Question:

To the men, are you open minded enough to try shaveing?

As some of you may know I really like the swimmer/cyclist clean shaved look, which isn't the norm here in the USA. As women we pend a lot of time shaving for ourselves and sometimes for the men.

Anyway if your not closed minded and stuck in the dark ages, I would dare you to keep your legs, armpits, chest, and pubes shaved for a week. See what its like, if you have never shaved then you don't really know whether you would like it or not, and trust me you will feel so much better without the hair.

Are you open minded enough to give this a try?

  1. I already do.  I think it is a much more clean appearance and I hope the ladies prefer it.... thats my goal.

  2. i shave my armpits and pubes anyway because i'm a millenium man. as for chest i don't really have to much (some). my legs? naah..because i'm lazy.

  3. Sure and the women can stop shaving? I did and ahhh the freedom..Anyone want to see my hairy legs?

My arm hair is long enough to be plaited now as well as other areas.  Kinda cute with ribbons tied on.

  4. Female 41.....I trim the bush, but I quit shaving my legs years ago.  The hair got really fine, like arm hair, so you can't tell.  I still do pits, tho.  I like using a beard trimmer when I shave cuz it's not so harsh.

didn't marry a bear in the first place.

  5. wait what am i doing again?

  6. There's no way that I'm going to shave 70% of my body every couple of days!

  7. It's nothing to do with being open-minded. My wife would smack me in the mouth if I suddenly turned up looking like a g*y pin up model. My wife is a throwback, I guess. Despite being of a younger generation, she prefers men, not meterosexuals.

I did shave my legs during my 11th grade football season, because they issued us some high-tech knee braces that supposedly required shaving so that they wouldn't slip during the game. The ingrown hairs were disgusting and extremely uncomfortable. I've never seen an unshaven woman who was close to as hairy as me. The next year I refrained and simply yanked the brace off and chucked it to the sidelines when it started to slip. Ditka didn't need them, why should I?

I admit shaving is a double-standard, and I don't particularly expect my wife to shave, although she does, and I do prefer it. But during our time homesteading in the woods, it wasn't exactly practical and it didn't cut down on my sexual attraction in any significant way.

Ha, ha--stuck in the dark ages. That's hilarious. You're right--giving into the ridiculous manscaping trend is the real test of enlightened thought.

  8. Having been shaved many times for surgery, I'd say forget it. The itching as the hair grows back is not worth it.

  9. All the women I've been with like the hairy chest (and everything else!)  So just because you like it doesn't mean everyone does.

  10. I shave my pubes weekly, mostly because it gets particularly hairy down there if i dont.

I'm willing to shave anything else as well, as long as its not my head.

  11. My hubby shaves his armpits, but he doesn't really have any chest hair

  12. um this would really suck for me as im a hairy b*****d, but yeah  guess i would be willing

  13. Only if you let your beard grow!

  14. You shave your chest?

I am sure when you shave your head the men will shave their legs.

  15. I'm not a man, but curiosity made me read this question and the answers.  I just want to say that the person who suggested that it has nothing to do with "open-mindedness"  or "the dark ages" deserves an "A+", as does the person who said that just because you don't like hairy men doesn't mean the rest of us feel the same way.

I have no preference either way, but what really bugs me is pressure to "conform" (in anything, not just this) because someone else is doing it.  We see so much of it in fashion, wanting to look like the entertainers, the people we see in movies and on TV.  That, in my opinion, is true "narrow-mindedness".....being a "sheepeople", unable to think for yourself, following blindly what the fashion designers/hairstylists/make-up artists "shepherds" say is what we should look like.  Have the guts to be yourself.....look the way YOU want to.
