You think I am free here in AMERICA? NO! What you have there is innocent and not so bad.. You don't want what the WEST or USA has or is... THE USA is a SEWER of drugs and alcohol.. Its a SCUMBAGVILLE composed of people that have no respect for anyone or anything.. A roof, food, and a good wife is all that should make anyone happy, but here in the USA nothing is ever enough for these people. Keep what you got, I can assure you Its 100 times better than the USA and all or fake freedoms! Comments?

I agree with you partly. But when the most prosperous country in the region became the least developed nation of the world after the military took control for 20 years , Burmese people want to control their own destiny.

We are very passive and peaceful people and only need two meals a day to be happy and contented.

We have a unique peaceful and smiling nature.

We are bright people and if we have a chance to work together to make our country men rich, we will not complain.

Right now we have military rulers taking advantages for their families in businesses.

They keep the country in one piece but they do not know how to communicate with public.

After all we are the country and they need to pay respect to us.

other than that , if we have proper health care, proper roads and infrastructure, we do not care about democracy.

we do not want to live in fear. we do not want people with army uniforms acting above us.

1.  You are living in top 10 wealthiest country in the world, not the bottom 20 poorest country in the world.

2.  You've never experienced in your entire life that you don't have electricity and water for an entire week.  And that happen all the time in Myanmar.  They only provide electricity to the downtown Yangon, the largest city in the country, for a few hours of electricity a day.  Before the government started selling electricity and other resources to China, we used to have 24 hours of electricity.  So, if you've never lived in that kind of a **** hole before, then you don't have the right to tell them to stop.

3.  Over 95% of the people earn less than 10 U.S dollars a month.  And the gasoline price over there is around $3 now.  How do you think they will survive?  Walk?  Yes.  Over 75% of the people walk or take a bus, and only a few rich people own a 90-2000 model car such as corolla.

4.  People have to bribe all the government officials to do any of the stuffs, including applying for an ID card or asking the trashman to come and take the trash regularly.  Waste service is done by government, not public company.  Do you ever thought of any country that have to bribe your garbage guy or a mail man?

Ha... people live in places that are built with leaves and bamboos... And in our country, it rains like h**l every year and they are living under no roof.

And people shoudl be lucky enough to eat 2 meals a day and boiled vegetables.  Have you ever live like that before?

Good wife?  Sure, some people might not even have a chance to meet a wife because they have to work 16 hours a day, 7 days a week with no vacation, no day off, etc.  And some even have to live and sleep at their work, so where the h**l will the wife come from.

If you think you have suffer enough from the US government, then why don't you just try and live for a month at Myanmar.  What our people claiming are not for the freedom that you spoiled kids are asking, what we are asking is the freedom to live and the freedom to survive.  

People are dying every day from mal-nutrition or diseases.  All the college/university graduate ends up not getting a job or starting at a low salary.  What we need is a government that will help the country out of the **** hole.  Not the government that put every single penny into his pocket.

Just for a fact, do you know how many millions of diamonds and gold the current leader put on his daughter wedding?  It's over 50 million and that had already drew international attention half a year ago.  So, what do you think why the entire country is suffering and only a hand full of top dog are living inside a mansion decorated as a Palace?

If you have gone through what we have gone through in our life, or at least have a single knowledge of a foreign country instead of your own garden, then you won't be saying these.
