If you have a cyst on your cervix and the doctors offer surgery to remove how would the surgery go? Would they cut through your stomach?

  1. Depending on what part of the cervix the cyst is located, I believe that they would actually enter through your vaginal canal and not the stomach.

  2. I've had to have abnormal cells on my cervix cut out.  It's surgery done under local anesthetic, they freeze your cervix.  They open up your v****a just like a normal pap test, with a speculum.  It doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes maximum with the actual procedure.  Most women feel very little pain or discomfort during the procedure.  I felt the larger speculum extremely uncomfortable, since I have a narrow than average v****a.  You'll also spot for a few weeks while your cervix heals.

So no, they don't go in through your stomach. :)
