To those who live in SIngapore, please suggest local restaurants near Orchard or Scotts that serve local food.

Question

I find it expensive to eat at hotels so please suggest other restaurants that are not pricey but have authentic yummy food. I intend to show my husband around and he wnats to try Singaporean food, chinese peking duck, Indian food and Japanese food. Any suggestions?

Check out food courts up at Wisma or under Takashimaya...

There are loads of restaurants serving many types of food in Orchard. I suggest that you check out the food court near the Takashimaya square, where there are many local food that you may try. Another place will be the Food Republic food court at Wisma Atrium.

Try the buffet at Dynasty Hotel  with loads  local fare , else try the cheaper  hawker stalls at

Lucky Plaza, Food republic  at  Wisma Atria,

Great World City, Tiong Bahru Plaza, and yes, Foodcourt at Ngee Ann City  basement too but my personal favourite is the Wisma Atria outlet
