Need I remind you that George W Bush was the governor of TX? Look how good that did us. It is not about executive experience it is about making smart choices, which McCain proved he can't when he chose Palin

  1. Sadly, Bush had SIX YEARS of "executive experience."

Can you imagine what a Republican with ONLY 20 months would do?

    Ye-ouch!!!

  2. Not if they behave like Enron Executives.

I'll take a successful Community Organizer any day

  3. I don't think Palin's 'executive' experience is either deep, or broad...or long. She has little knowledge of foreign policy, her economic credentials extend as far as 18 months looking after one of the smallest economies in the country...with some of the lowest infrastructure.

  4. Obama is a graduate of harvard law school, was a former community organizer, has taught constitutional law, has served in the illinois state senate, and the U.S. senate. He meets the threshold. That is actually a lot more experience than sarah palin. She was a former beauty queen, served as the mayor of a small town, and served as governor of Alaska for less than two years. Even if it is conceded that obama had the least experience in the campaign before she entered, she is the most inexperienced now.

  5. Not really a question, but I'll answer anyway - I appreciate your voice of reason!

  6. Palin might be a lovely woman but being governor to a low population state like Alaska is not the kind of executive experience that is needed in Washington, DC. The problems they have way up their are not complex and multi-faceted like they are in the lower 49. Her educational level is unacceptable for someone who will be expected to understand the nuances of foreign polices and new law debates.

  7. Yes !!

Alaska Govermor Sarah Palin has MORE TOTAL political experience than Obama.

  8. If executive experience is so important, why did they nominate a presidential candidate without any?

  9. I don't know about you but I think someone's first management job probably shouldn't involve something that controls nuclear weapons.

Bush is a middling president.  There have been quite a few that were a lot worse.
