To those who watched the game last night

Question

Did anyone happen to count how many times the announcers said the words "Brett" or "Favre"? I would love to know how many times his name was said. I know it's expected at this point but is it going to be like this ALL year too?

Hi Nina,

It's sort of like a guy that just got dumped by a girl he was crazy about. You try to get him talking about sports, cars, vacation, anything you can think of. He just keeps guiding the conversation back to "her". The media is going to take a while to get over this B.F. break-up. I hope they get some of it out of their system before the regular season. Last night was brutal. Brutal.

I know and the halftime show they spent more time on Brett Favre running a lap than they did on Michael Phelps(winning the gold medal). Unbelievable.

I am a die hard Packer fan... I used to be a die hard Brett Favre fan... Now I'm honestly sick of the man. My fiance would get mad because I'd turn the channel every time I saw him on tv. It's going to go on all year, I promise you that. I really feel bad for Rodgers as well... I'll always love Favre, and he'll always be a Packer legend but COME ON PEOPLE! Shut up.

I'm a Jets fan, and I'm getting quite sick of all the "Broadway Brett" and "Bretty and the Jets", etc.  Get over it already!  I fell asleep @ 2min warning Thursday night, and in the morning, I couldn't even tell who won the game because all they talked about was Favre!  Jesus, give it a freaking rest, we get it, it's a big deal, but come on already!

Although I didn't watch the game, I do agree with you. It's ridiculous how often I've heard his name everywhere! I am so sick and tired of him!
