To throw or not to throw?

Question

a lot of people in my school think the pens threw the game last night, i think it is rediculous. In my opinion you should never throw a game in the playoffs because your loss is another teams momentum. The fact the fans would say they threw the game to get more money for mellon arena is a bit disapointing but it is what it is.

What do you think they did?

oh wow. Pit did not purposly throw the game. who would even think that? they just didn't have as great a game as usual.

I think your school is filled with some people who know nothing about hockey. My high school was like that last season when they all hopped on the Sabres bandwagon.

i'm pretty sure they get a lot more out of sweeping a team than throwing the game.. so your school is full of a bunch of idiots lol

Yeah rumors like that come about when fans can't admit that there team is not invincible. Philly came out like a bat outta h**l. h**l if that's the case the Devils threw the playoffs cause they played enough for the season......not to mention spring time in Newark....Yuck...i just threw up a little in my mouth.

Kids in your scho are filled with idiots. Last miniute there was about four fights. They made Marc Andre Fleury sit out so they can have an extra player on ice. They are blowing the whistle and trying to come up with plays.

Pittsburgh wanted to swept the Flyers but they couldnt

I've heard that all day too. I had to leave the place I was last night after the Pens went down 3-0. People were saying that the Pens, and city of Pittsburgh, wanted the team to lose so they could make more revenue on Sundays game. I'm not sure what goes through people's heads, but they're crazy.

I agree with Jay

I live in Buffalo, and we went form 1/16 of the kids being big fans, to 19/20 of the kids being big sabres fans.  We are bandwagon jumpers, and I think last year against Ottowa we through a game to get more money from games at home.

Pittsburgh didn't throw that game.... but they didn't seem to give a c**p once they were down by 3. Hossa playing the middle defense in front of Fleury on a PPK???

I think the coach said... we get up lets win this... but once they got down... why get hurt when you can bring it home and PUNK them on home ice like we did to the Rangers.

Sounds like your school is a lot like mine. Maybe you shoudl just ignore all the bandwagoners, and go on. I get to the point where everytime I see someone with a Crosby shirt I assume their a bandwagoner so I'll "poser!"

....It's wrong to assume everyone with a Crosby shirt/jersey is a bandwagoner (saying I too have a Crosby jersey and I think I have a Crosby shirt....hm....) but eh....
