To transfer a phone call to a cell phone or another phone?

Question

I have a Comdial DXP (Impact 8324SJ-FB) phone I'm havigf trouble transfering the phone call to another cell phone.

This is what I do:

Press TAP

At the dial tone, dial phone #

Phone call gets connected

Press TAP

Hang Up

When I hang up the phone call gets disconnected. I can't find a user manual on the internet to help me.
