To unsubscribe from a group using the unsubscribe email address, what should I put in the subject line?

This pertains to people who don't want to or can't log into the yahoo groups online and change their preferences that way.

The subject line can be left blank or put anything you want there.

The servers will take action based on the address so the subject line doesn't matter.

From your email program, send a blank message to:

[e-mail]

Make sure to replace "groupname" with the actual name of the group.

When unsubscribing to a group using the unsubscribe e-mail address, you just send a blank e-mail and click "Send".

If you have a signature line automatically set up to be used in e-mails please make sure it's turned off for just that message or the unsubscribe process will not be able to take place.
