To vacuum a pool, do I have to use a pool vac or can't i just use a wet-dry vac?

  1. A wet-dry vac will just suck water out of the pool. A pool vac connects to the filter and picks up all the debris and runs it back through the filter. That way you get rid of the dirt and dead algae without losing any water. A wet-dry vac just isn't made for a pool.


  2. i would not use a wet dry vac for any reason.one reason the hose is not long enough.second reason you will lose alot of watert and that would be a losing battle.stick with pool vac,a lot less problems.never heard of using a wet dry vac

  3. if it,s full of water you have to use a pool vac, if not then a wet vac will work, other wise you can be electrocuted,
