I am a vegetarian since 7 months. I feel very week. What kind of food can give me full energy? My blood is checked and there is no deficiency of iron. What could be the reason of weekness?

  1. You may not be getting the correct amount of nutrients your body needs.  Protein... each a lot of nuts and cheese.  You may also add egg in your diet every now and then like (pancakes, waffles).  You may need to add a supplement to your diet (vitamins).  You may want to consult with a health care professional for the right diet.

  2. strangely enough its not a lack of protein but a lack fat in the trptical veg diet that causes promblens many vitamins are fat soluble you must take in enough fat to absorb the vitamins.

  3. When I became a vegetarian, I felt I was weaker too. I think it is either because your body is not used to getting amino acids from vegetables not proteins or because you do not know what to feed your body (i know i didn't! XD). I think it could be a lack of fat maybe. Try eating more nuts, avocados, and vegetable oil.

Your own body, your liver, can make proteins from amino acids. Protein is sort of a storage form of amino acids when ever amino acids are ready to be used the are broken down by the kidney.

  4. protein, eat more beans and a variety to get all the proteins you body needs, take a multivitamin. what your body is going through is malnutrition, you are not getting enough of the stuff you need, a salad doesn't sustain you.

Try beans, greens (kale, mustard, and spinach), and nuts.

days i go to work out I drink about 32 oz.s of almond milk, way better then soy milk IMHO. Good energy boost and lower calories the cow or soy milk.

  5. More sleep, more hyration and more protein. Along with iron deficiency, those are the main weaknesses for people, and especially vegetarians.

  6. Yeah man if you find that you have less energy now that youre vegetarian you need to replace what you're now lacking with something else. Ask your doctor. Be careful when taking vitamains, too as they may have be animal- derived.

  7. You might not be getting enough B12, you should take vitamin supplements.

  8. Make sure you are eating lots of leafy green veggies and taking a good quality supplement. I like Arbonne's supplements. They give me everything that I am missing on my mostly vegetarian diet.

  9. I felt like that in the beginning too.  Once I figured out how to eat right as a vegetarian I felt 10 times better.

Make sure you have a balanced diet.  Listen to the rest of these people.  Maybe even make an appointment with a nutritionist.  It would be well worth the $20 to get a professional point of view.

  10. ya protein. i've felt a little like that too.

  11. When I first became a vegetarian I felt really weak, solely due to the lack of protein I was consuming. Try to eat more foods like legumes (nuts), tofu, and meat substitutes. I eat a lot of soy which is my main source of protein.

  12. Go to your doctor and get iron tablets. You have to take 3 a day. Spinach has iron in it as well as most dried beans and dark green leafy veg. Try cooking a spinach and chickpea curry...

  13. make sure you get enough protein! protein gives me energy. eat peanut butter, tofu, beans, seeds...

  14. What sort of food are you eating?

I know many vegetarians who eat a crappy unhealthy diet – too much refined sugar, too much processed flour, too many greasy chips, too much fatty dairy, too many sweeties, too much caffeine.

Perhaps you should have a check-up with a naturopath, who will be able to suggest a multi-vitamin for you, as an extra boost.

However, you can get all the protein, vitamins, minerals, nutrients etc... you need by eating an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables on a daily basis.

Also make sure you are drinking plenty of fresh filtered water daily and participating in light exercise daily.

Chia Seeds are amazing for energy levels:

The very best way to get more energy is to eat 75% - 100% raw vegan. The energy levels you get from eating raw vegan foods are astronomical and have to be experienced to be believed.

Green Smoothies are a great way to introduce raw vegan into your life on a daily basis, do a Google search for recipes. Three weeks after starting to have 500ml of Green Smoothie daily, I had so much energy I barely knew what to do with myself.

  15. Are you well informed to be a vegetarian?

the are are many resons to be week, oxigen deficiency, low blood sugar, adrenal exhaustion etc.

Not been a vegetarian is easy, eat all that appear in front of you, then go sick,  Vegetarian eat the right food, but you should know the rules.

Do some exercise to increase oxigen,  drink plenty of pure water, take good supplements  like 1000K alternative formula, go to www.forestnaturals.com  and under immune support you will find this product.

  16. Not getting enough calories in your diet. Salads and such have very little calories. Calories come only from carbohydrates, protein and fat.

  17. You might be anemic.

Look up the symptoms online, and if you think you are, try taking an iron supplement along with a b12 supplement (or just eat b12 enriched foods)

Also make sure you are getting plenty of sleep.

  18. Eat tons of protein! like peanuts, cashews, beans, boca burgers, eggs...stuff like that!

It's also possible that you are emotionally drained. I went through that a week ago when my grandma died. I totally understand either way.

PS, for future reference, weakness is only spelled with two e's and one a!

  19. Maybe not enough protein.  That, I think, is one of the hardest things to get in a vegetarian diet.
