  1. The only example of 3rd world living in America takes place on Indian Reservations and that is all. Not many people in America lack modern conveniences thus 3rd world conditions do not apply.

As for England I have no idea but I have only seen Taunton, London, Birmingham and some of Scottland.

  2. To no extent at all! You have obviously no experience of the 3rd world.

  3. I would say quite a few people.  I live in the UK, and was on benefits for about a year due to ill health.  I ended up losing my home and living in rental accommodation.  There were times when I had run out of money and had to wait a few days for my next cheque before I could eat again.  My electricity was on a meter and I have sat in the dark for a few days too.

  4. Dunno, but last night i envied the fox with the KFC leftovers.

  5. you ever been to a third world country? a poor US and UK is still richer than a 3rd world country

  6. Selractr.. is right - to no extent at all.  The characteristics that define a 3rd world country or situation aren't found anywhere in the US or the UK.

  7. I have spent most of my life in a third world country and in my opinion the only people in the UK living in the same conditions are those living on the streets - everyone else, even poor pensioners living in a one roomed flat are much better off than  millions of third world people with no work, no food and no homes, not even cardboard boxes to live in and most importantly, no social benefits to bail them out.

  8. No one in the USA is living in third-world conditions.

Ned, Indian reservations are incredibly wealthy.  You haven't got a clue.
