  1. No.  Back in the early 1980's these same people tried to convince everyone that "print was dead" its only computers from now on!  (Last year more books were printed in the world than at any time before.)

Let them flap the gums.  Its all talk.

  2. disagree. new technology might bring about an area where you don't have to leave your couch to see your instructor gearing up for a lesson (actually you can do that now mostly), but the idea that we'll all just be doing this stuff on our own or following interactive lessons is I think faulty. You'll never beat a teacher standing up in class teaching.

  3. I think that the new technology can never replace the learning achieve during discussions and lectures than having it online learning in the computer using the internet. I believe that the teacher pass its eagerness and motivation to the student as a tool of learning. its way over that reading the notes given by the computer.Learning in school is the best reference for students

  4. Its possible but more difficult to learn alone - lectures f they are good allow you to contextualise the learning -

I cant see the differece between reading a book and having a lecture or reading online adn having one.

I have sat through a lot of lectures that were not illuminating but on the whole an enthusiastic person bring the concepts alive.

  5. never. lectures aren't just "words spoken"-- they are experiences, ideas of someone other than yourself. no man is an island goes the cliche, we learn from others' views
