well, we're a democratic nation trying to break free of tyranny, but we can't support ourselves?

  1. We fully support all democratic nations trying to break free from tyranny - such as Georgia is trying to do from the evil Russians!  I don't think it's a US proxy war with Russia though.  More like we want to free Georgia

Obama bin Biden would gladly throw them and all of our allies under the bus - in a heartbeat!

    Peace

  2. The US will only support Georgia through aid and diplomatic means.  The US is not going to send troops to Georgia to push back the Russians.

I am still blown away how people still think that Georgia is the bad guy in the conflict between Russia and Georgia.  What Russia did to Georgia was a military and political action taken directly from the n**i playbook.

The conflict between Russia and Georgia has been simmering since Georgia was formed with the break-up of the former Soviet Union.  Georgia is a big part of the cultural identity of Russia, in addition to it has warm water ports, something that has always been a weakness for Russia.

Russia has been planning this action for several months now.  They began by issuing passports to the people in the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, exactly what the n***s did concerning people of German descent the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia.  To say that Russia just responded to Georgia's military actions is not only wrong but simple-minded.  The sheer amount of miltary equipment, vehicles, aircraft, and personnel involved makes it extremely obvious that it was a military action that had been in the works for awhile.  And the US/NATO dropped the ball by not knowing about the Russian military build-up.

Georgia was conducting military operations in their own territory to secure areas within Georgia's borders.  There is some arguement about the areas and the amount and type of force used, and if the areas should be independant, but the bottom line is those areas are recognized universally (minus Russia, of course) to be part of Georgia's territory, therefore Georgia had every right to secure those areas.

Do I think that the government of Georgia is without fault?  Of course not.  But the invasion and brutal supression of a soverign nation by Russia trumps anything the Georgian governement has done.

  3. It's more of an attempt by Russia to control and intimidate her neighbors.

A proxy war....?   perhaps.  But not because we provide them with a little military aid.
