To what extent does our political system promote / support the dignity of the human person? ?

  1. Well they aren't doing enough. If you look at it, over 1 billion people are living in poverty.


  2. Johnny expanded the scope of this question to include people whose lives we are not responsible for. The United States has a population of 300 million, not even 1 billion.  Yet alone do we have 1 billion Americans living in poverty. Those are foreigners, and it is the job of their governments to aid them, not us.

    Anyways, our 'politcal system' does not foster human dignity. Look at a typical campaign.  Both sides spew s**t instead of focusing on the issues at hand. Both sides cater to the whims and whines of lobbyists and 'special interests' groups rather than standing up for what is right, and in the best interest of Americans.
