Hi Friends

I’m originally from Lebanon. I mean I’m a citizen of Lebanon. But at the moment I’m in the UK doing my PhD in the UK ( London ) based on a student visa which is valid for 4 years. I’m gonna apply for immigration to Canada as a skilled worker. But I don’t know whether I should send my immigration application to the Canadian embassy here in the UK , or I should send it to the Canadian embassy in Syria ( which in responsible for immigration applications for some Middle East countries including Lebanon). if you know anything about this please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you guys.

With very best regards

Masud

  1. Neither.  You do not send immigration applications to an embassy.  Have you actually begun your research into immigration requirements for Canada?  See site below

  2. Hi there

On this government page  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/s... , I found this info

"You must submit your application to the correct visa office. You must submit your application to the visa office that serves your country of nationality OR the country where you have been legally admitted for at least one year."

    Reading on this page:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information... I infer that since you are in the UK, you should apply there in London  and the contact info is on this page :

    http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information...

Since you are in London, it might be fastest to call the London office to confirm your application goes to them.

Or email the Syria office at

    damascus-im-enquiry AT international.gc.ca

Replace the AT with the @ sign above).

If you've already done this, I apologize for repeating information.

What part of Canada are you hoping to come to?

there are some Canada links and pictures here

Good luck - I hope this is what you were looking for!
