To whom do I make contact about propane price gouging and service over charges?

The company referred to raised price $.65 above all area servers plus a "HASMIT charge $3.95 per fill. I paid off in full in june and ordered my tank P/U. in july I recieved a $35.00 tank rental fee rental. Rentals run yearly from july to june 30 2008, did not pay. Charged $70.00 for tank P/U in august . Did not pay. Do I need a lawyer or can "BBB" or another help me.

  1. The Better Business Bureau does not act, only logs complaints.

    Take the matter to your state's Attorney General's office if you believe the business is not honoring its advertising or its contracts. If they choose not to be involved, then yes, you'd need to hire an attorney.


  2. Before you do anything- Re-Read your contract!

    BBB is not a policing agency, however, you should call them anyway.

    Buy from another dealer after 'letting your fingers do the walking'

    Also, you should write or call the 'PRICE GOUGER' a nasty letter just to let him know you`ll never buy from him again, that his business SUCKS, and you are giong to tell all your friends not to buy there!

    As for the monies, you shuold consult a lawer to sue in small claims court, if you think this is worth it!
