To whom do I report wrongdoings by a former employer?

I worked for a small company a while back that I eventually left because of all the things that that were going on there. First this company is ran by a husband and wife...mostly by the wife...husband is the owner. They treat the employees like trash. I worked in the office along with the couple and another person. They constantly fought. actually throwing things, the owner once kicked a hole in the wall because he was mad at his wife, she was always having tantrums...actually kicking and screaming ones...slamming the phone..yelling on the phone at the field employees. If the wife developed a dislike for an employee...whether they had done anything wrong or not..she fired them! No notice...nothing! One of the girls that worked in the field was her friend so when she was injured on the job she told her not to file workers comp because she knew she would fail the drug test, so the company paid her claims for her. Once when the new insurance rates were too high I refused coverage...she enrolled me anyway because she needed me to get the rate they wanted. That is when I knew it was time to go. It's like some employees could get away with anything..stealing that they know of, constant absences, etc. but others are not allowed any breaks! She said one day.."fire his ***! I don't give a f**k that his Mom had a heart attack...I never liked him anyway". I was the office assistant and at times it was hard to talk on the phone to customers or vendors because the couple was cussing and fighting in the background. Once while I was at lunch and she could not find a form that I normally kept on my desk...she threw papers around everywhere and I came back to find all my stuff thrown everywhere, some even on the floor! Things with them were always personal...rarely business. She was on the payroll but rarely did any work. She played games on the computer all day and he watched p**n. I practically ran that office as they were gone a lot to their condo at the beach. If I had an issue while they were there, they would not answer their cell phone and become angry if they did...sometimes screaming at me that they were on vacation and couldn't I have waited? It 's so much more but I'll leave it at that...it was an awful place to work. I came home daily so stressed. I just could not take it anymore. To whom do report an employer who acts this way? Some things they did were illegal such as altering forms and such but most of it was just immoral which I know is not against the law but I suffered there and I still feel the effects. Any advice on this one guys?

  1. I think your best bet is to thank God you are outta there; and forgeddabout it. Most of what you mention is just bad business and not illegal; and do you really want to give up MORE of your life to drag these people with you thru Labor Relations board and that process? Or have them kill your references in the future?

GO past it; the best revenge sometimes is just to live a good life.

  2. There isn't a whole lot you can do about it unless you have proof that they are doing something illegal. Cut your losses and consider yourself lucky to be out of there.

  3. So i will edit this after you respond again, exactly what was their business? tell me that and ill give you the right agency to report them to.

also since they were doing fraudulent things heres a link

    http://www.mass.gov/?pageID=elwdmodulech...

thats to the goverment, they will investigate them, it might take some months but if you bug em it will get done less then 1year.
