During the Roman time there were no Muslims in Israel/Palestine.

Last time it was called Palestine was during the rule of the British.

The land was then divided by them into Israel Jordan and Egypt (like they divided most land that was part of the empire).

1) The Old Testament shows that Israel existed 1000's of years before Christianity or Islam.

2) We Jews lived here before and during all conquests.

3) About 600+- yrs after Jesus.. Mohamed appeared and conveniently "visited", and "traveled to heaven" from the site of the Temple Mount.

4) After that 'convenient visit", Muslims proclaimed that site as a Muslim holy site.

5) 100 wars later, the Romans, the Greeks, the ottomans, the British etc etc... every1 has claimed the land as their own.... until recently when it was given back to us to again be the state of Israel.

Palestine is forcefully occupied by Israel, so technically by force it belongs to Israel. When Israel gets out of the Palestinian territories then there will be peace, until then all Jews in America will continue the war of words, and all Jews in Israel will live in war. Go figure. Cheers!

Israel is the state of the Jewish people.

There is no longer a place called Palestine.  It became Israel in 1948.

Prior to 1917, the territory that is now called Israel and Jordan was ruled by the Ottoman Turkish Empire, and included three sanjaks (districts).  The name "Palestine," which had been used by Roman and briefly by Arab rulers, was revived by the British, who received a mandate from the League of Nations to administer Palestine as a national home for the Jewish people.

Israel was created in 1948, after UN Resolution 181 partitioned the territory of the British Mandate for Palestine into two states, for Jews and Arabs.  The Arabs objected to the creation of the Jewish state and fought a war against it.  The Arab side lost the war, and the Palestinian state never really came into being.  The territory allotted to the Palestinian state by the UN partition resolution was taken over by Egypt and Jordan.  Some hundreds of thousands of Arabs became refugees.  The Arab states have made sure to keep them as refugees all these decades, as part of their war to destroy Israel.
