"It's a good feeling when you are winning," said Sammy while speaking to media reporters on the eve of the second and final Test against the Black Caps, commencing at Sabina Park, in Kingston, Jamaica on Thursday, August 2.
"Winning is important for any team. For us, it [doesn't] come around too often. We've gotten ourselves in good positions over the last year and to win this Test series would mean a lot to the guys,” he added further.
Even a draw at Sabina Park, Kingston would clinch the hosts the series, but the St. Lucia all-rounder wants to ensure back to back Test victories and has urged his players to do their absolute best to win the second Test.
It has been almost ten years since the Windies last won two Tests in a row. They have struggled immensely to put on a consistent show over the last couple of years.

The men from Caribbean clean-swept the struggling Kiwis 2-0 in the two-match T20 International series, at Lauderhill, Florida last month and went on to win the five-match One Day International series 4-1. Currently they are leading the two-Test series 1-0,
after having won the opening Test at Antigua by nine wickets.
"We will remember the feeling we had in the T20s and the one day series and we are 1-0 in the Test series,” said Sammy, who is yet to win a Test series against a high-profile Test side.
“It's a feeling we want to keep in the dressing room. We are going to go out there the next five days and look to win this Test match,” he added further.
