Toad or frog? What did I see?

Question

This is too weird. I found a tiny, white, almost translutent frog/toad on my kitchen floor. It was very tiny. I picked it up in paper towel, set it free, then have been kicking myselffor not keeping it to get it identified. I live in Nova Scotia. Can anyone tell me what I had? It's late July here now.

Since none of them are white, I'd guess that it was an albino frog. I've never seen an albino frog, but apparently they are reasonably common. They would be very visible to predators, so I'd imagine that most of them wouldn't last long in the wild.
