Today's Melbourne jumper - is it the worst ever to be exhibited by an AFL team?

It was mainly a dirty white colour with a bit of blue & a red stripe about the waist line.

Teams regularly change their guernsey strips so as to sell more merchandise to their supporters. It's no use having the same coloured jumper all the time as once a fan gets one - that's it!

But then again, they have so few supporters nowaday, they probably don't sell any - no matter what colour or how good they look!

It is a good alternative jumper. I know it is against tradition, but sometime when one of your players handballs to an opponent because of a split second decision and gets mixed up.

Especially a Collingwood-North Melbourne-Geelong combination or Essendon-Richmond combo or Essendon-St. Kilda combo and Melbourne-West Coast.

If you don't like the new jumper, don't buy one.

Maybe they should have a blue background with a red wooden spoon on it !

They sure know how to celebrate birthdays...100th birthday, they lost to Collingwood in the Grand Final missing their chance to beat the Magpies '4 in a Row', and a wooden spoon for their 150th. At least 'The Spoon' will come in handy to make their 150th Birthday Cake!

I reckon Norm Smith (who was a Collingwood supporter as a boy!) has put a curse on them after they sacked him !!!

I can't think a worse one. THe most recent one of the Criows is also a shocker.

I'm a traditionalist - I like to see the original jumper designs - Richmond = black with a gold sash; Essendon = black with red sash; Collingwood - I don't like the club but they are probably the best at maintaining a strip keeping in line with the original design when the club was formed.

Now we have silly anchors, bolts of leghtening, spread eagle wings & all sorts of silly designs.

And fans just wont buy them - end of story.

The only other one that I can think of that comes anywhere near it, is the time Carlton wore that M&M's light blue jumper as a one-off advertizing gimmick a couple of years ago.
