  1. What? What do you imply? Music is a form of art, it can't do no harm. The whole show business industry around it is pretty disgusting, but that has always been like that. Now it's just more obvious with the media coverage gone wild.

  2. No.

Music is the voice of the generation, not the impetus.

  3. well to me, music is just music. its something i can listen to according to my mood. it can make me happy or it can make me sad. now, i can see how some young girls want to be just like hanna montana, or some teens want to wear the clothes the singers have on in their videos. but, ive never heard of someone wanting to go out and shoot cops or kill someone. im sure it has happened though. people need to realize its just music. its not telling you to do certain things and how to be. i believe it affects the younger crowd than anything. kids still dont know how the world works, and all they see about real life, is the singers in the videos or the lyrics in the songs. some people take things too far. like girls wanting to be that size 0 like some girls are in videos, or wear hoochie shorts while washing their moms car. its our job as parents to make them realize its just fake, its nothing but putting on a show.

  4. nope, i dont...but im 14

  5. Gross oversimplification from the grossly over-simple.

  6. Being in the music bussiness for over 30 years I have seen alot of changes. I started out in 1968 producing and programming and got into radio and production. It was like heaven at first. The top 40 CHR was easy to fill. You had the groups from the Newy York and NJ areas that could fill the playlist easy. Classic rock like the Beatles, Stones CCr and many others. Neil Diamond and Carly Simon and Manilow. This music is still popular today and will be til the end of time. Todays music is not the same in stability. I mean there are good musicians and lots of talent but the music is debassing for sure to some extent. The argument I receive for others is music always was bad. Not in the context of todays top 40. Can you name 10 artist at the top of your head in the top 40? Probly not without looking up the stuff. The bottom line is music is a gift to us. It has developed in all a culture that we can define our personel lives with. It makes us happy and sad. We fall in love to it and brings back memories that will last a life time. What you choose to listen to is up to you. But the effects of it could alter your thinking. Best Wishes and Rock ON!
