Today I have a 15 hour train journey! Any tips?

What should I bring? What should I do for that long a time! Thanks for your help. PS. It's from Tallinn to Moscow

A psp you can have music, games, pictures, internet if there is free wifi on the train, also videos, you might want to bring some magazines or books if you want, or you could just sit there looking depressed someone might come and talk to you (maybe.)

I would recommed taking a wordsearch/crossword book.  Or a puzzle book that will take up a lot of your time.

read a book, take a gameboy, listen to music like ipod mps or even your phone if its got good memory and songs on it. Take sudoko puzzles they are challenging and hard and keep u busy for a while. also sleep. and maybe portable dvd player?

You could take music to listen to or buy mags to read.Have a lovely journey.

Get some snack foods to keep you from getting bored.  I once took biscotti and strawberries on a long flight. Trail mix is good, too.

Bring bottled beverages so you can put the tops back on.

A good book or a few magazines help pass the time.

Sunglasses and a camera.  You never know when the camera would come in handy.

Gum works, but don't throw your wrapper away.  You'll need a place to put it once it's spent.

Bring an extra bag for garbage.  Like the kind you get from the store.  It will come in handy for the wrappers and what nots you have.

Have a safe trip.  My husband's hobby is trains.  G scale, but trains none the less.  It's fascinating.

Wow, how exciting!

There are some brilliant answers on here already. I would spend a lot of time looking through the window but if that got really boring I think I'd sleep. I don't know what sort of landscape you will be going through. Will it be amazing, beautiful, monotonous?

I definitely go with the people who suggest taking food and drink. Definitely make sure you take enough to drink with you!!

There will be many exciting and interesting sheep on your voyage. You should take a note pad and some writing pencils then you can note the sheep, their size, quantity and variation as you passage through.

If there are moments when you can't see any sheep at all you will be able to spend your time profitably in categorizing, graphing and drawing the sheep you have already observed, do not however become too absorbed in this gratifying persuit, as you will need to keep a keen eye on the window and doors incase you pass some more sheep, or some sheep come aboard.

It is not a good idea to enter into flights of imagination about the sheep, drawing flying ones, inventing little stories about the lives of ones you've seen or giving them names, not only does this over personalise them, but may also allow discrepancies in your data.

Be warned, this is not as easy at it may seem at first glance, and many will find this both an entertaining and challenging pass time. Also it can be hard to stay awake whilst counting sheep.

if you take a laptop you can have the options of music,films,games,...you could even try writing about youre journey,..travelling by train is the best way to travel,its really relaxing, have a good trip.
