I spilled candle wax all over my computer. I got most of it off, but its still all stuck in the spaces in between my keyboard. Some letters I have to push very hard for them to work. Its killing me to write this, as it is taking forever. I just want a keyboard replacement. Is their anyway I can fix this? Everything is fine except for the keyboard. Best buy charges 300-400 dollars only because my hp has a minimum down payment of 300-400 dollars. Please Help.

  1. Simply Replace the keyboard

  2. This may sound weird but in household cleaning if you get candle wax on something you can freeze it to harden the wax and it will chip right off. I have no idea if you can put a keyboard in the freezer or not without hurting it. If not, and it's a PC keyboard, I would just do as the others said and buy a new one. they don't cost very much.

  3. umm...well that's a sticky situation...is it a laptop or a desktop computer? cuz if its a desktop u can probably buy a new keyboard at walmart or something. if its a laptop, then idk...i think there's some kind of keyboard cleaner, but idk if it would work on that. i guess you could try that. hope this helps!

  4. Go get a cheap replacement at Walmart or something, or take a flat butter knife or letter opener and pop the keys out and clean around them. Do this one at a time so you don't forget where the keys go when you put them back.
